When Is The Next Blue Moon?
The next blue moon takes place on 31 August 2023. As this Moon is also a supermoon, it will be a Super Blue Moon. It will be situated directly opposite the Sun's position in Earth-based longitude, manifesting at 21:36 Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
Coinciding with this celestial event, the planet Saturn, on the cusp of reaching its nearest and brightest point for the year, will share proximity with the Moon. As twilight transitions into nighttime, Saturn will be positioned about five degrees to the upper right of the Moon. Over the course of the evening, Saturn will seemingly trace a clockwise path around the Moon.
